Putting someone else above yourself, knowing you’re both imperfect but loving each other anyway. Being Jesus to someone in tangible ways, walking through the everyday messiness of life hand in hand, celebrating both the small & big victories of things good & worthy of celebrating. Together.
Cam & Sara understand what selfless love means. For each other, yes, but for everyone around them, too. They know that love DOES, so they DO. They show how Jesus has changed their lives, allowing them to see the gold in people, to trust God’s invitation to an abundant life with Him. Life may be uncertain, but these two are certain God is good.
That certainty acknowledges fear of the unknown & allows them to walk through the fear anyway. The Lord has done great things in them & they’re not afraid to tell the world about it.
It was truly an honour to be with Cam & Sara & their nearest & dearest for their wedding. The whole day was full of loud, almost uncontainable, joy & it was more beautiful than words could ever convey.
And a little PS.
To everyone at this wedding who introduced themselves to me (or was introduced to me!), was willing to talk about how this thing I do is about so much more than pretty pictures, hugged me tight like you’ve known me for years, acknowledged the Lord’s presence in this work I’m called to do: thank you. Putting faces to names I’ve seen online, simply hearing you’re cheering me on from wherever you are, or getting to hug you back in person instead of through a screen is a gift I hope I never take for granted.
